My personal journey with health and fitness dates back to when I was a sporty, hyper-active kid! I loved P.E., learning new sports and representing my school in athletics. When I reached 16 years old I went to a gym for the very first time and I was hooked instantly! I loved everything about it, the different equipment, the new friends I made, watching people do an exercise and then copying them when they weren't looking! I couldn't get enough of it.

Health and fitness was always a big part of my life and after many years of doing temping jobs which I hated, made me miserable and gave me no sense of achievement, I wanted to do something that made me happy. I decided to be brave, throw all my eggs into one basket and try and make a career doing the one thing which I loved which was health and fitness.

In 2008 I qualified with a diploma in personal training, started working at DW Fitness Brooklands and haven't looked back since. I love what I do and the gym feels like my second home. I'm naturally a bit of a geek anyway and love learning everything about things I love doing. Over the years I have listened and learned from the best, attending courses, work shops and seminars around the country, all with the sole aim of improving myself, so I can continually improve my clients results even further.

Over the years I've worked with hundreds of clients with all kinds of differing goals such as reducing body fat, increasing muscle tone, competing in Crossfit competitions, people running 10k races, reversing type 2 diabetes, you name it and I've probably trained somebody for it at some stage! All of these different experiences with clients over the years have allowed me to provide the expert training sessions that I coach today. It's also made me an extremely versatile coach in that that I can adapt my skills and expertise to any type of client depending on what their goals are.

For me, watching my clients change their lives gives me a real buzz. Whether it's somebody trying to shift those last few pounds or somebody who just wants to be fit enough to have a kick around with their kids in the back garden, nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing my clients happy and achieving their goals. When my clients achieve the results they want and go on to maintain it on their own - I know I've done a good job.
